Leadership Teams

Our Leadership

Glendale Church is led by a Leadership Team which prayerfully oversees all the activity of the church.

Our Leadership Team includes Christians passionate and gifted in advancing God’s community in Newbury, appointed by the church. While three of the Leadership Team are specifically employed by Glendale, most are volunteers. All bring their diverse life experiences, skills and high-energy ensuring Glendale is representative and in touch with the needs of the community, and is run responsibly.

Each member of the Leadership Team carry specific responsibilities considering their gifting, experience and our needs, as detailed here.

A series of volunteer teams also contribute invaluably to the church eg leading worship, delivering pastoral care, providing hospitality and managing technical equipment.

Mark Dunnett
Leadership Team
Mark came to Glendale Church in 2005 with his wife Sarah and two young sons. He was attracted to the lively worship and strong childrens’ work. “It is a place where God’s love is evident” he says. A busy working life in the semiconductor industry is combined with practical work in the church, for example on the Sound Desk, leading services and supporting events. For relaxation, Mark is a slow runner, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Micah McAuliffe

Micah has been within Glendale since he was a teenager and first encountered the Holy Spirit through a Glendale youth event. He passionately describes this as the single biggest turning point in his faith and has built his personal relationship with God from there. Married to Joni, they have two young boys who thoroughly enjoy Glendale junior church, feeling very much at home each Sunday morning. Micah was instrumental to the launch of our evening services in 2008 and also works as a local builder. He enjoys seeing Arsenal matches whenever he can.
